Rebuild Packages - Martin Logan CLS Interfaces

For those of you Martin Logan CLS owners that can't or won't do your own work, you're in luck here. I have a rebuild for these that will melt your socks off. All the power components are replaced with much better ones, such as 14ga. inductors in place of the 18ga. stock ones, noninductive resistors, and caps that I think are a little bit better than the originals.

Ever wonder why these stats are not known for producing any decent quality bass? My rebuild will give it back to you, it's no joke. I'm not making the claim I can make it go down deeper in frequency, but I do make the claim I can give you the quality back that's lurking in there. Voice and guitar sound alot more like voice and guitar, and those things do need some lower registers.

The bias circuitry is also addressed. Did you know the diaphragm bias is on only when music is playing, otherwise it shuts itself down? I bet you didn't know that. I didn't until I went into it. At any rate, I found the bias circuit benefits from a diode swap for less leaky ones. This stabilises the output a bit better in my opinion. At first I went around around with installing some better caps, but the ones in there already are actually not that bad and can hold charge well enough. I also install some line regulation to help stabilize fluctuations that high voltage bias can be susceptable to. It's not a cure-all, but every little bit helps. All updates to the CLS circuit are installed as well.

I'm not going to get into the names of the power components but will say I do not follow the popularity of those found bandied about on internet websites. You won't find foil inductors or overrated caps or resistors in my rebuild, and is the very thing that sets mine apart from everyone else's, in a good way though. If it was not good I would not be offering it. You'll have to trust my design instincts and abilities on this one, but I know for a fact that you'll be pleasantly surprised. I do not expect a high volume of customers on this one, but it's ok. I'm doing it cause it's really unique and for those few individuals that might see things my way.

Price on this one is $500 for the pair. Hey, what can I say.....power stuff is expensive, but you're also paying for some engineering expertise, not just mindless part for part replacement. You'll never get that with any of my rebuilds. Some parts also have to be custom made and have a several week lead time, so you'll need some patience too.
