Acoustat TNT200 output mosfet transistor replacements:

These are Exicon mosfets, models ECF10N16 and ECF10P16, purchased directly from the factory in England and are designated replacements for the Hitachi 2SK135 and 2SJ50 devices. They are available in matched trios at $45.00 a set, either N or P channel. These do have the added advantage of having a slightly higher power dissipation, but otherwise have the same data specs as the original Hitachis. Data sheets are available from other sources on the web.

Readings are taken with a specially fabricated test jig that tests the mosfet transistors under circuit conditions that are identical to that in the TNT200. All matched trios are grouped in tolerances and guaranteed to operate within 10% of the nominal 100ma bias current rating of each device. Any devices left over are either sold individually, kept around to be paired with other devices in the next purchased batch, or can be purchased as matched duals which other amplifiers can use. It will be up to the customer to have the knowledge to use these properly.

Available non-trio inventory is listed at the bottom.

Purchasing directly from the factory assures quality and authenticity, and avoids any issues found with purchasing from 2nd source vendors. These seem to be quality units.

Note:

A helpful tip when biasing the TNT200 is that if the pot doesn't appear to want to turn far enough to establish the 300ma idle current, then look for a blown device. The bias circuit should have plenty of voltage spread to more than take care of biasing.

Other mosfet availability:

1) 1 set of duals N channel - $30.00

2) 1 set of duals P channel - $30.00
